The Perfect Photograph

The Perfect Photograph - OH Fashion

Photography is the only tool apart from your memory that can capture moments. This world is full of beautiful things: places to see, foods to eat, flowers to smell, and the people around you. A photograph can capture any moment in time, and this memory will last forever. Even after the moment has passed, the shot will always bring back memories.

Some things are too significant and valuable to be forgotten. So, grab a camera and start capturing the captivating things in life.

Photography is a collection of technical skills, ideas, and creativity. As a photographer, you decide what you want to photograph and what you want to convey.

If you want to improve your photography skills, here are some tips that will help you take those stunning pictures you've always wanted.
Always remember, never stop. The more you shoot, the better results you will achieve.

Lighting

Harsh shadows or lack of light will severely impact the look of your photo. Get an external light source or schedule your photoshoot for the right time.

Find New Perspectives

Look for more exciting details. Move around your subject and shoot it at different angles. Get creative and always look at the bigger picture. Stand back and find a new perspective.

Don’t simply put the camera in front of your face and start shooting. Changing the way we see things will immediately make your photo stand out from the crowd.

The Rule of Thirds

The rule of thirds is a composition guideline that places your subject in the left or right third of an image, leaving the other two-thirds more open. While there are other forms of composition, the rule of thirds generally leads to compelling and well-composed shots.

If the focus of your image is on land (i.e., mountains, buildings), the horizon should fall near the upper third, and if the focus is on the sky (i.e., sunsets, sunrises), the horizon should fall near the lower third.

Get Close

Zoom decreases your photo quality, but your feet don’t. If it’s safe, physically move closer to your subject for a better photo.

This does not mean you cannot use the zoom in your camera, however, do not be afraid to get close, and do not always rely on zoom.

Shoot a Lot and Experiment

Practice, practice, practice. It’s a tip that will get you ahead in any skill, not just photography. The more you experiment and the more photos you take, the better your photos will be.

Use these tips to translate the image in your head, and the emotions you feel, into a photograph!
