Physical activity: staying physically active is another key to losing weight. Here are some activities you can do to lose your holiday weight:
Jogging is the best activity to lose weight. Jogging at least 30 minutes per day will keep you active and it is a full-body exercise that helps you to lose weight, improve your cardiovascular fitness, and will strengthen your muscles.
Treadmill:Either in the gym or at your home treadmill is very beneficial when it comes to staying healthy and losing weight. Here are some programs from which you can choose according to what you like:
Alternate running: walk on 5mph for 2 minutes and then increase the speed to 8mph speed for 3 minutes straight and keep alternating for 30 minutes.Mountain running: set up your treadmill to hill program. Incline unto 15 and keep the speed of 5mph. walk for 30 minutes. You can always adjust the speed and incline according to your comfort level
Running: if you are willing you can simply run on the treadmill for 20-30 minutes
High knees: 30 high knees on each leg ( 3 sets: 30x3)
Squats:10 squats per set (4 sets: 10x4)
Push-ups: 10 pushups per set (3 sets: 10x3)
Note: pushups can be very hard to do if you are a beginner try to do it on your knees first. Take your time.
Burpees: 10 burpees per set 2 or 3 sets.
Note: this exercise can be hard to do initially, take your time and do it safely.
Plank: do a 1-minute plank. It will work all over especially, your core. The best exercise for abs
Lunges: 15 lungs on each side (2 sets)
Jumping jacks: 30 per set (30x3)
Repeat these exercises again and do some stretches at the end.
